Church Re-Opening Information and Guidelines

-We have reopened for in-person services on Sundays at 9 and 11 am with a disinfecting clean between services. Services are streamed live on Facebook at 11 with the exception of Sunday, July 19. 

-You can reserve your spot at church by clicking on this link and registering for a service.  Capacity is limited to 31 people per service.

-We also ask for volunteers who would be willing to leave service should guests arrive and we are already at capacity.  Please let us know if you would do this.

-Volunteers will be needed as door holders, ushers, disinfectors & cleaners for during and between services, and Kid Klip distributors.  If you can volunteer in these areas, let us know which service you would be willing to serve in.  Click

-David Platt said this, “What if we take away the cool music and the cushioned chairs? What if the screens are gone and the stage is no longer decorated? What if the air conditioning is off and the comforts are removed? Would his Word still be enough for his people to come together?”  Our focus at ALCP is still to Connect to God, Connect to Each Other and Connect to the World, and we will continue to do so even though things have changed and the sanctuary looks very different than what we are used to.


-Please give us grace. This has been a huge challenge for us, and the decisions we have made we believe to be the best for being able to re-gather and maintain the safety of everyone who will enter our building which is more important than anything else.  It has been very stressful and even frustrating going forward doing things that look very different than what our church has previously looked like.  We have spent countless hours of talking these changes through.  Some of the changes implemented may not be what you would have chosen to do.  We have to look at the church as a whole and make decisions based on what we deem best for EVERYONE.  Some of the changes have been mandated by our AG district leadership and as a district-affiliated church,  We are under their covering and will be submitting to their leadership.  Please help us by taking all of these guidelines to heart and support us in all of the things we believe to be best. 

-This is not church as it has been.  But maybe God doesn’t want us to go into the future with church as it was.  Be open to His leading and remember when God does something new results are amazing.  Isaiah 43:19 says, “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”  We are excited to move into the future with you as God leads us, even if it looks nothing like we have ever done before. 

 Here are the guidelines we will be adhering to for gatherings in the building:
*If you have ANY illness symptoms, remain home & watch us on Facebook Live.

*Masks will be optional.  If you want to wear a mask, please bring it with you.

*We will limit the number of people congregating in the foyer.


*Please observe social distancing.

*We will be seating people with 3 chairs in between non-family members. 

*There will be no physical contact allowed.

*An usher will seat you in the sanctuary so we can practice social distancing.

*There is a new offering box with slots for envelopes but consider giving online.

*Restrooms will be limited to 2 people at a time, please.

*Hand sanitizer dispensers are available throughout the building.  Please use them.

*The Noah Room will be closed except for parents with crying babies, nursing mothers or Koala Care changing use.

*There will be no JC Kids’ Club.

*Kid Klip activity clipboards will be given to kids following worship.  After service, kids take EVERYTHING off of their clipboard home with them.  We will sanitize clipboards.

*Fellowship Hall is closed.

*There will not be a coffee break or formal greeting time.

*There will be no coffee or treats.  Feel free to bring your own coffee, but the sharing of treats will NOT be allowed.

*We will be keeping church to about an hour.

*We will limit the time spent together congregating. Following service, we ask you to immediately vacate the building.

*Church will be dismissed row by row following service.  We will utilize both the sanctuary exit and foyer exit.

*We will be cleaning and disinfecting the church between services on Sundays and during the week.
